Develop a deeper understanding of chemistry, learn strategies that make studying more effective, and build the confidence to succeed on your own.
Saint Ignatius College Prep
Students enrolled in Honors, AP, or College Chemistry who want to perform at the highest possible level and refuse to accept results that fall short of their potential.
Learners who feel completely overwhelmed despite significant effort – putting in the hours, but unable to understand why the results don’t reflect the work.
Bright individuals who are fully capable, yet not seeing results that reflect their true intellectual ability – a gap between potential and performance.
Students navigating ADHD and executive functioning challenges who benefit profoundly from structured, intentional, and emotionally calm academic frameworks.
Students who understand that they need genuine clarity, strategy, and academic confidence – not simply more practice problems or additional study hours.
With over 20 years of experience teaching chemistry, combined with principles from neuroscience and learning science, my work focuses on helping students understand not just what to learn-but how to learn it effectively.
True academic intervention goes far beyond helping a student survive their next homework assignment. With over 20 years of experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, my practice integrates core principles from neuroscience, cognitive learning science, and behavioral research directly into every session.
High-quality, interactive remote sessions. Master complex problem sets and receive detailed feedback from home.
I have spent over 20 years teaching chemistry at both the high school and college level, working with students across a wide range of abilities, learning styles, and academic goals.
Over time, I became less interested in simply delivering content—and more focused on understanding why some students thrive while others, equally capable, struggle.
That question led me to integrate principles from neuroscience, learning science research, and personal experience into my teaching. What I discovered is that many students are not struggling because they lack ability—but because they have not yet been taught in a way that aligns with how they learn.
My work is focused on closing that gap.
My educational work has been recognized by the American Chemical Society as their 2014 Lloyd D Ryland Outstanding Teacher Award Winner, as a chemical education curriculum specialist at the 2017 American Chemical Society’s National Conference, and as an author for the American Association of Chemistry Teachers.”

– From a proclamation by Mayor Thomas DeVivo, Willimantic, Connecticut
Chemistry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
My father, Dr. Charles M. Wynn, Sr., devoted more than 55 years to teaching chemistry, mentoring students, and making science accessible through his textbooks and laboratory manuals. His passion for curiosity, rigorous thinking, and meaningful education shaped not only generations of students but also my own approach as an educator.
Today, Wynn Chemistry continues this tradition of making chemistry accessible, engaging, and empowering for every student.
